Best vibrator for living at home in your 20s

If you’ve recently graduated college and you’re living at home, you’re probably stressed and depressed. So, a vibrator can come in handy (no, really, according to health.com, “Masturbating can release feel-good hormones like oxytocin and dopamine…”). But, you’ll need the right vibrator to fit your circumstances. We are all different, different turn-ons, different relationships, and different lifestyles. Vibrators aren’t one-size-fits-all, so it is important to find the one that works best for you. Below is my breakdown of the We-Vibe Tango X and the Womanizer PREMIUM Eco.
As a recent college grad living at home, these are the factors I would consider when purchasing a vibrator:
Price- If you are living at home post-grad, it is probably because you’re trying to save money. The PREMIUM Eco is $199 and the Tango X is $79. So, the Tango X is definitely the more affordable option for those of us trying to save. That being said, the PREMIUM Eco can definitely be worth the splurge.
Size- If your mom is like mine, she goes through your stuff all the time. Not, in an intrusive or sleuthy way, more like she puts my clothes away when I leave them out, or she misplaces her AirPods and rummages around my bedroom for them. As a result, it is difficult to keep things hidden, especially when I don’t put anything away. When it comes to size, the Tango X is definitely easier to hide somewhere in your bedroom. Plus, if you’re heading over to your partner’s house (who also happens to live with his or her parents), it is way easier to stick in a purse or even a jacket pocket.
Noise- I live in an old home with thin walls. You can hear virtually any noise. As a result, quiet toys are the move. When it comes to quiet, both vibrators are winners. Tango X is described as “whisper quiet.” But, the PREMIUM Eco utilizes “smart silence.” This means that it only turns on when it meets the skin. Thus, simply removing it from your skin means the buzzing stops. This can come in handy when you think you’re home alone and suddenly your sibling is banging on your door. In an instance like this, you can simply move the toy away from your body rather than fumbling frantically for the off button.
Environmental impact- If you’re like me, you just kind of live in a constant state of anxiety about the environment. So the fact that the PREMIUM Eco is made from sustainable, renewable materials, is a huge selling point for me. It definitely helps alleviate some of the guilt and stress I feel about the environment and masturbating in my childhood home.
